Do you want to be responsible for moving offshore units from one location to the next? And do you thrive in a position with extensive travelling? Then this is your chance to become Towmaster at Maersk Drilling, an integrated part of the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group. The position is based at our head office in Copenhagen, Denmark, and you will be involved in rig moves all over the world. You will join a strong team of highly skilled Towmasters, who have been in charge of more than 1600 rig moves all over the world since the function was introduced in the mid seventies.
RESPONSIBLE FOR RIG MOVES AFTER JUST 18 MONTHS

During the training period, you will be proficient in our rig’s marine systems, geotechnical issues, Maersk policies and procedures including the Maersk values. Specifically, you will follow a Senior Towmaster and be involved in every step of the process of moving a rig, which is handled as a project covering all phases from the initial paper work in Copenhagen, meeting with the client, HAZOPS and the actual move. The project will normally last approximately a month.
As fully-fledged Towmaster, you will take charge of our drilling rigs during rig moves from one location to another. You have the highest authority on board and overall responsibility for the safety of all persons. Besides rig moves, you will have ample opportunity to work on special marine related projects at our head office or for our organisations worldwide. The job involves extensive travel activity – not always to a set schedule or as planned.
MASTER MARINER WITH OFFSHORE EXPERIENCE

You should live close to our office in Copenhagen, where preparation for rig moves is finalised. On a personal level, you are independent, goal oriented, responsible and safety conscious. It is crucial that you can make your own decisions far from the office. Lastly, you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
After recently having reviewed the working schedule, we can offer attractive terms and conditions.
